Craze "planks" Facebook claims life in Australia

BRISBANE, Australia  - a buzz new scan Internet called "planks" claimed a life in Australia Sunday and police fear the tragedy is perhaps not the last.

Decking means a person located flat on their stomach with their weapons against their body in unusual and sometimes dangerous situations with photographs of their exploits shared through social media sites.

He went viral in recent weeks with the planking Australia benefiting more from 55 000 fans Facebook page and hundreds of photos of people lying on form trails, escalators, mouths of fire, motorcycles and other objects.

Police last week warned "plankers" of hazards and their fears were carried out with the death of a man at Brisbane got a balcony seventh floors and death at the scene.

"This morning we saw a young man take this activity a little further and attempt to Board on a balcony." Unfortunately it has tragically fallen to his death, ", said the Queensland Police Assistant Commissioner Ross Barnett.

The man, who was not named, and another person had been during the night and were plates in various places on the way back.

"This is what we were fearing," said Barnett, but could not say if he had died first of the Australia of the craze.

Barnett said he worried that the injury would occur because people are trying to out-do each other by increasingly more precarious planking for the final photo.

"Fear police that as decking gains popularity, there may be several injuries and potentially more death", he said, adding that it may seem fun playful but can quickly turn to tragedy.

"Accepting a risk of injury to yourself is one thing, but the potential is there for others to be injured as a result of your behaviour.".

Last week, 20 years, also in the State of Queensland, was arrested after allegedly being "planks" on a police car. He was accused of being on equipment of police without lawful excuse.

Police issued warnings of hazards at the time, but the advertising seemed only to feed the fad.

"If other people break the law in this activity, that they will be charged,"warned Barnett.""

"But no penalty will never return this young man to his family and friends." "It's a tragedy and our condolences go to the family".

Facebook tributes began immediately with the dead man.

"planker rip fellow," said a display on the page of the Australian planking.

"I didn't know him, but he was a planker as the rest of us."

Another wrote: "Stay safe dudes, plate carefully."

But not everyone was favourable.

"Seriously, people are so stupid." Get on this stupid thing plates, "said another position."
