DNA of Strauss - Kahn "linked to maid".

 Dominique Strauss-Kahn is being held under house arrest in New York DNA found on the clothing of a hotel in New York maid, who was accused of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, of sexual assault against it matches that of the former head of the FMIDire of the media reports to the United States.

Mr. Strauss-Kahn defence team is expected to argue that he had a sexual relationship, but that it was consensual.


"Forensic evidence, we believe, will not be compatible with a forced meeting," the lawyer of Mr. Strauss-Kahn, Benjamin Brafman, said.


Mr. Strauss-Kahn, 62, is due to enter a formal plea on June 6.


It was considered as a main candidate to be the next French presidential candidate of centre-left up to that news of the charges.


In France, the newspaper the world reported that "people farm" to President Nicolas Sarkozy knew more on the privacy of Mr Strauss-Kahn was public knowledge.


The newspaper stated that those closest to Nicolas Sarkozy have been touting of information, a leak of a report of police, suggested Mr. Strauss Kahn was taken kerb crawling in a known red light district in Paris.
