The India was accused of censorship of the map

magazine says that the India is more intolerant to the issue that China or magazine The Economist Pakistan has accused the India of hostile censorship after being forced by the authorities of the country to cover up a map in its latest edition.

India says that the map, which represents the disputed area of Kashmir, is incorrect because it shows the area as divided between Pakistan, the India and China.


Kashmir is claimed by the India and Pakistan in its entirety, but has been divided since 1948.

About 30,000 copies of the latest edition of The Economist magazine are distributed in India with a blank white sticker placed on a map of Kashmir.


The map should be used to illustrate an article on the border between the India and Pakistan described as "the most dangerous" of the world.


Officials Indians forced the magazine to take the step because the map shows all of Kashmir as part of the India.


The Economist said that he was merely reflecting the current border of the entry into force, adding that the India is more intolerant on the question that Pakistan or China.


Indian readers, she said, may face the political reality of the situation on the ground in contrast to his Government.


India authorities systematically target the international media, including the BBC, on the question of the borders of Kashmir, if the media do not reflect the claims of the India.
