Party of his "lavish" follow royal Monaco marriage

JOHANNESBURG  - Prince Albert II of Monaco and his betrothed swimming field, Charlene Wittstock, will host a "lavish" party in his native South Africa after their marriage in July, a newspaper said Sunday.


The couple will host 200 guests, including the international royalties, in a luxury seaside hotel in the city of Durban is July 7, five days after their marriage in Monaco, reported the Sunday Times.


"We keep any galloping, but I can tell it is a matter of luxury," Wayne Coetser, General Manager of the hotel five-star box Oyster, told the newspaper.


"This is a case of sumptuous, with a menu featuring some South African cuisine" and the "champagne best", he added.


Albert and Wittstock had already announced that they would be travelling in South Africa after marriage to attend a meeting July 5-9, of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in Durban when the host of the 2018 Winter Olympics will be decided.


The two former Olympians - it is a bobsleigh runner, she a swimmer - in August moved their marriage up by six days to attend the meeting.


Albert, son of 53 years from end of Hollywood star Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III, Member of the IOC since 1985.


The playboy prince announced his engagement with born in Wittstock Zimbabwe, 33, last June.
