Commander Bainimarama said Tonga had illegally sent a marine patrol week last to pick up former army of Chief Lt Col Tevita Mara of Fiji.

For the New Zealand Prime Minister John key, stated that the theft of Col Mara has highlighted the fragility of the Bainimarama regime.
"Tevita Mara is the guy who was right in Bainimarama man when he started a coup in 2006, so the fact that he jumped off the ship is a very interesting development it", Mr. Key said the New Zealand TV.
