MANCHESTER, England- Sir Alex Ferguson insisted in Barcelona will not have all their own way when they meet on the side Manchester United in next month's Champions League final at Wembley Stadium.
While the two teams are about to win their respective national titles, it is Barcelona, which defeated the United States in the end of 2009, which are widely regarded as the pre-eminent club in Europe.
The Catalans boast of Xavi and Andrés Iniesta, two key side players to win the Spain last year's World Cup, while Lionel Messi is already hailed as one of the greatest football.
"Everyone has recognized the great how a team of Barcelona but Manchester United are in the final," Ferguson said the United States-based Sirius XM satellite radio station.
"Everyone said this is not a good team Manchester United, that we are not this or that.".
"But we marked more goals than anyone else.". Our home form has been magnificent. We are undefeated in Europe. We are in the final of the Champions League and we will win the League by getting a point more.
"Must be all criticism on one side, because I must be realistic when I look at my team and ask," am I happy? ' ".
"These players have given me everything."
But Ferguson has not denied the scale of the task to deal with United States in a jewel of European club football match.
"Obviously, Barcelona is the big one now," he said.
"In the final of the last time we started really well offshore, then gave a goal of the bad." After Barcelona kept the ball very well, as they do always.
"What we have to do, is find a solution to the problem of Xavi-Messi-Iniesta."
"Everyone is looking at that because they are exceptional football players." We also have our share.
"We have players who can cause any team much hassle and I hope that those who attack the players will give Barcelona problems, everyone thinks that they will give us".
With regard to domestic issues Ferguson expressed his "shock" at reports that manager of Chelsea, Carlo Ancelotti could be sacked at the end of the season despite winning a League and FA Cup double with London club last term.
A trophy this season all the last hopes of Chelsea has disappeared, but when they were beaten 2-1 by United Sunday, leaving the winners requiring that a point from their two final matches for the title.
"It would be me shock, surprises me not," said Ferguson, coming to 25 responsible for years of the United States.
"It is an industry that sometimes baffles me."
"Here is a man who won the European Cup on two occasions, he won the Scudettos (Italian Championships). He did the double in England last year.
"Why is that questioned." Why is that it has become a problem? I do not well understand.
"But the rumour mill is there that he will leave." It's sad because it is exceptional.
"It is a great man, full of absolute dignity."
