Berlusconi casts doubt on the death of the son of Gaddafi

ROME - Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi cast doubt on the Libyan reports that of Muammar Gaddafi son and three grandchildren were killed in a NATO airstrike on 30 April, saying Wednesday that the coalition forces believe the claim to be "propaganda".

Berlusconi said an evening television talk-show based on the intelligence services, Seif al-Arab al-Gaddafi was not Libya and is rather in another country. He did not develop.

"It does verify with the coalition," Berlusconi said RAI State. "It seems that it is propaganda, and that the youngest son of Gaddafi is not Libya, but live in another country." Even in the case of the three grandchildren seems unfounded. It is the information of our services. ?

The ANSA news agency reported the comments based on the recording of the show until the series is broadcast.

NATO has never confirmed or denied the claim, reported by the spokesman of the Libyan Government Moussa Ibrahim, Seif, 29 and his three grandchildren of Gaddafi - all aged less than 12 - were killed in an airstrike of NATO on the Libyan leader apartment buildingApril 30. Libyan officials said that Kadhafi was in the Chamber when that strike took place, but escaped unscathed.

NATO repeatedly has told all its objectives in Libya are military and that it does not Gaddafi or others.

Berlusconi makes reference to Seif al-Arab as being more young son of Gaddafi, but it is the second most young, with son Khamis young by about two years. However, at the time of the bombing, Libyan officials mentioned Seif al-Arab as being Gaddafi younger.

Italy, former leader colonial Libya, participates in the NATO air campaign and has allowed its air bases to be used by the coalition forces. Berlusconi was called Al-Gaddafi, a friend and said that he briefly considered resigning after the Italy became more in more attracted in the campaign of the coalition.
